We have a current career opportunity as a Machinist SpecialistShift/s Available for this Position:
B shift (Monday - Friday) 2:

to 11:

m.
Essential Functions:
Read and interpret blueprints, hand sketches, reverse engineering or verbal or written instructions.
Analyzes operational problems and develops modifications in design to improve efficiency.
Plan the setup and operations of various maintenance tools, considering types of materials, tolerances and machine tool feed and speeds.
Heat treat and weld certain parts as required.
Use precision measuring tools, (calipers, micrometers, hardness testers, height gages etc.
) Use general shop tools, hand tools and shop equipment.
(Lathes, Mills, Surface Grinders, Cylinder Grinder, and EDM) Maintain inventory of certain spare parts by reproducing and ensuring that there are always parts available for use.
Must be able to process NC or CNC programming and machining.
Must be able to use EDM machine to make or modify parts Continuous improvement to reduce the number of defects produced on each line.
Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 5 years of journeyman experience as a machinist.
Must have Machine Tool Technology degree or equivalent preferably 5 years of Journeyman experience.
Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
Must be able to work under pressure situations when required.
Must be willing to work overtime when required.
(Daily or weekends) Must have clear understanding of reading and interpreting blueprint and drawing.
Also understand drawing symbols.
Must have a good mechanical aptitude and understanding of how mechanical mechanism function.
SUPERVISORY
Responsibilities:
None.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Required to sit or stand and move about the facility.
Must be able to push, pull and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 50 pounds.
Individual must be able to distinguish colors.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
A combination of office and plant environment.
Required to use safety glasses and wear steel toe shoes while performing specific tasks or while in specific manufacturing areas.
Assist Maintenance Technicians in repairs of Production Equipment when required.
Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
